Swim Lessons
Our swim lesson program is designed to build confidence in the water and allows students to work their way up through progressive levels following the Starfish Aquatics Institute Curriculum. Each level will have 5 stages students will work through before moving to the next school. Students will be able to learn at their own pace. Instructors will assign each student to the correct stage on the first day! All lessons are 40 minutes in length.
Star Babies | 6 Months - 2 years
Star Babies is a parent and me class where parents will help build confidence in the water with their young ones. This is a fun class designed to teach your little one to trust and love the water. Participants will learn basic skills including water safety, floating, submerging, and rollover breathing.
Star Tots | 3 year - 5 years
Children and care givers will learn the importance of water safety and drowning prevention such as asking permission to enter the water. This course will not focus on children becoming accomplished swimmers but will allow children to enjoy and become confident in the water. Children will work toward independent swimming in order to get to safety!6 Months - 2 years old
Swim School | 6 year - 12 years
Those who cannot swim independently or can swim but do not know any stroke specific skills. Participants will progress in the five fundamental core swimming competencies. The basic fundamentals will help participants become confident and safe in the water and prepare them to learn stroke specific skills. Children who have NOT passed level 2 in the American Red Cross Learn to Swim Program should sign up for Swim School.
Stroke School | 6 years and up
Children 6 and up who have passed the safety test and are ready to learn stroke specific skills such as Freestyle/Front Crawl (1), Back Stroke (1), Butterfly(2), Breast Stroke(2), Elementary Back Stroke(2), and Side Stroke(2). Any child who has passed level 2 of the American Red Cross Learn to Swim Curriculum should sign up for Stroke School.
