Curbside Cart Collection

Trash and recycling generated by all one, two and three residential units shall be placed between the curb and sidewalk no sooner than 5:00 p.m. of the day before the collection and no later than 6:00 a.m. day of the collection. Collection shall occur between 6:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Residents using carts must have all refuse and recycling inside the carts and not outside. Any items outside the carts will not be picked up. Carts not properly placed or containing illegal material will not be emptied.

Trash and recycling collection is Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Curbside Refuse & Recycling Calendar, Map and Guidelines

Trash and recycling collection is Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in the City of Port Washington. Refuse and recycling collection will not be made the following holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Years Day. Routes will be pushed back one day following a holiday. For example, if Christmas Day is Tuesday, and your normal pick up day is Wednesday, you will be serviced on Thursday. Customers who are normally serviced on Thursday will be serviced on Friday.

All recyclables shall be mixed together in one 96-gallon container.
