Mission Statement
The Sewer Utility is responsible for maintaining the City’s Wastewater Treatment Plant, which on average treats 1.5 million gallons per day (MGD) of wastewater. The plant has a design flow capacity of 3.1 MGD and has a maximum daily capacity of 9.3 MGD, and peak hourly flow capacity of 12.5 MGD. The Sewer Utility also maintains six lift stations and over 55 miles of sanitary sewer main. The Sewer Utility is led by the Wastewater Superintendent.
